We are urgently in need of bedding for the boys' shelter, including mattresses, blankets, bedsheets, and towels. The current bedding and personal hygiene materials have become worn out due to prolonged use and need to be replaced. We have so far completed three bunk beds, but we still require bedding and other essential items to make them fully usable for the boys.
We would love for each shelter to have a proper sitting area that can also serve as a dining hall where the children can gather for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In addition, this space would provide a comfortable environment for group counseling sessions, unity-building activities, and learning programs, creating a safe and welcoming place for the children to grow, interact, and thrive.
Our boys' shelter is in urgent need of renovation and proper fencing to meet the required standards for approval as a temporary boys' shelter. These improvements are essential to provide a safe, secure, and suitable environment for the children in our care.
Our library urgently needs renovation, along with essential scholastic materials such as textbooks, teachers' resource materials, school bags, and other learning supplies. These improvements will enhance the learning environment and enable us to provide better educational support to children in the community.
Our Drop-in Centre serves as a safe haven for street-connected children and as a rescue center where boys can access counseling, nutritious meals, mentoring, literacy classes, life skills training, and other essential support services. The center provides a welcoming environment where children can begin their journey toward healing, learning, and reintegration into their families and communities
This includes essential scholastic materials for both shelters, such as textbooks, storybooks, exercise books, and other necessary school supplies to support the children's education and learning.
We would like to secure a temporary rental space for young men who are preparing to begin vocational training as they recover from various forms of addiction. This safe and supportive environment will provide stability, mentorship, and continued guidance during their recovery, helping them build the skills and confidence needed for independent and productive lives.
We currently have two families whose homes are in urgent need of restoration. Supporting the rehabilitation of these homes is one of our key priorities for the coming year, as it will help provide safe and stable living conditions for the families.
We are in urgent need of funding to support our university students, as their tuition and related educational expenses are significantly higher than those of students in primary and secondary school. Financial assistance will enable them to continue their studies, complete their education, and build brighter futures for themselves and their communities.
